Or, what the hell this new thing is.

I’m not huge on New Year’s Resolutions generally, but this year I decided to use the New Year as an excuse to rededicate myself to providing you, my audience of three or four, with new things to look at. The general idea behind the “studio” is to post new media as often as is possible, be it Illustrations, Designs, Animations, Photos, Links, Comics, Blog Posts….whatever. If I can rationalize it, I’m going to post it.

Now if you are wondering why I needed to create an entirely new section of the site to do this, I will explain.

First, I am always looking for an excuse to design something new.

Second, this new Blog setup lets me post new items incredibly quickly. I can have something online minutes after finishing it, meaning that there is a greater chance that I will actually post my work at all.

Third, this new Blog setup has a number of cool features that I haven’t had use of before. I can post items ahead of time, and the server will post them on the day they are meant to appear, saving me much hassle. Also the RSS feed is automatically updated, which means it will actually become a useful tool for knowing when there is new content on the site. There is a handy little calendar to the right, displaying which days new content was posted, and categories that will list all of a certain type of media (photos, sketches, illustrations, etc.). As you look around I am sure you’ll find a number of other helpful features as well.

So these are a few of the reasons why I wanted to start a new project. All you really need to know is that if there is something new on the site, it is going to be posted here first. I am honestly hoping that I can post something new almost every day. Even if it is just a link to something cool on the internet or a blog post about some mundane aspect of my life, I want this to be a page worth checking everyday.
