This particular redhead was designed for for a freelance job. The mother of a coworker at Left Field owned a wig store and wanted a new logo for the shop, as well as a planned website. I worked on a number of variations, and this was as close to final as it came before things fell apart and communication shut down between the mother, the sister, the coworker and me. Later I found out that I was the third artist they had approached for a logo, and they could never get the mother to agree on a design or describe what she wanted.
I included three of the steps that this particular design went through. First was the rough sketch in photoshop, which actually isn’t that rough. I wish I had thought to save an earlier version before I started to clean it up. Second is the clean line art done in Flash. And then finally, the finished colors.
