So it goes.

Kurt Vonnegut on inspiration.

This has been floating around the internet for awhile, so my apologies if you have already seen it. Kurt Vonnegut is probably my second favorite author after Salinger. And yes, before anyone mentions it, my favorite authors list reads like a high school yearbook profile. This is generally because Slaughterhouse-Five and Catcher in the Rye are the only two book high school students can read without passing out halfway through. Not that I actually read Slaughterhouse-Five in high school, the mere fact that sex was mentioned precluded it from the required reading. I have a feeling that if any of the people who ran that catholic school had actually read through much of the Bible, we wouldn’t have been allowed to read that either.

“Beware of the man who works hard to learn something, learns it, and finds himself no wiser than before. He is full of murderous resentment of people who are ignorant without having come by their ignorance the hard way.”
