Eustace Tilly
Unbeknownst to me, that guy on the cover of The New Yorker actually has a name. It is Eustace Tilly. The reason I now know that random fact is that The New Yorker recently hosted a contest where artists could come up with their own rendition of the man who is Eustace. Of course, I don’t learn about this until after the contest entry period is over, but it still makes for a cool link.
Check out this Flickr pool with the entries.
There’s some pretty cool stuff.

I’d be curious to see what your design would be. So many of those are incredibly clever.

I think I might try and come up with a design even thought the contest is over. It’d be an interesting exercise. Now I just have to find the time to do it.
