Business Cards and Birthday Wishes

Hey folks,

I know things have been quiet around here, and I apologize for that. The last two months have been pretty hectic at work, culminating in a sleep deprived, crunch week from hell the last 7 days or so. Hopefully things should lighten up a little now, and I'll have more time to work on things for the site. I have been struggling for awhile now to get a new comic together, with a story and an art style that I can maintain with my limited free time. I think this site is at its best, and at its most popular, when there is a comic to get excited about and discuss. I know I've promised this before, and that I frequently start and stop ideas and projects, but there is a chance my ambition will win out.

As for tonight's update, I have a few items for you. The first two are a couple of images that I am going to be using for my new business cards. Coming at the end of July I am heading down to Comic Con International in San Diego with Tim, and I plan on showing my illustration portfolio to a number of people there. This is what I've come up with.

As for other things that fall into the "odds and ends" catagory, I have recently gotten in the habit of making myspace birthday illustrations for people. There have only been two so far, but I really liked how they both turned out, so I am going to share them with the rest of you. The first was for Tim, who's love of 24 and love of birthdays came together for his 24th Birthday in April. For those of you who didn't get to see it on his Myspace profile...

The second illustration was done for my friend Joann who still hasn't stopped bugging me about Grindhouse, so I worked up a Russ Meyers type film poster for her...

That's about all I have in me for tonight. Im planning on going hiking tomorrow, so if I have some cool new photos up on Flickr in the next couple of days, I'll let you all know.
