Vote for me....screw Pedro!
Before I begin, I want to say that I hate the people walking around with those stupid "Vote for Pedro" buttons. Regardless of your view of that particular movie (I thought it was pretty terrible), please dont walk around believing that you are somehow "indie" or "art house" because you have seen the Dynamite. Everyone has, lose the button.
Now onto more important matters....which is of course the Pat. Im sure many of you know I love the tshirt, god's gift to man. Those of you who've been around me lately may have noticed I have begun to collect some rather strange and interesting shirts. These shirts come from one place and one place only....threadless.com
The interesting thing about threadless is that all the tee designs are submitted by different artists via the web. The designs are then voted on by the threadless community, and then every month a few are chosen to be printed. Each design has a limited printing, meaning there may be as few as 1000 of a certain shirt in the world. Much better than showing up someplace with your recently purchased Legend of Zelda shirt from Hot Topic only to find three other people lamenting the loss of $20 to appear "independant". And the best part of all of this is that if your design is chosen, you get cash money, and a gift certificate to order a bunch of your shirts for friends and family.
Why bring this up now you ask? Well....I just happen to have a design in the running on the site right now. You see how if all comes back to the Pat? Im just that good. If you want to vote for a design you have to register with the site, which is free, but I understand if people dont want to. Im not really expecting this one to win, it was just a design I modified from one of the 112 projects. You can see the design and all the comments on it here.
