Illustration Friday : Glamour

Alright, a new Friday has come and gone, and a new Illustration Friday submittion is ready. This week's topic was glamour. Now personally, I'm not a huge fan of Glam Rock, but you can't not like Bowie, who happens to be the King of Glam Rock. So I'm kind of torn. This week's entry is very designy, but Im generally happy with the way it came out. That's probably it for the blog until next week. For now, here's Ziggy Stardust himself.

Illustration Friday : Cats

Well theres only the one cat. Maybe I lose points for that. There is a post over at drawingboard.org where a guy posted a bunch of stencil shaped people and encouraged others to post their versions, so I decided to combine my stencil piece with my Illustration Friday piece. It's stencil cat.

Illustration Friday : E is for ...

E is for electric elephant.



It was a dark day when the Zoos introduced the mechanized elephants. Oh yes, the union was strong, but still many elephants felt their jobs were at risk. They were correct to be worried.

Illustration Friday : Sea

So in an attempt to improve both my Corel Painter chops and my concept design chops this week's Illustration Friday piece went from "Sea" to "creature from the Sea". Really, I dont think anyone has painted just the sea this week. The sea is boring, ya got put something in it, or under it, or around it, maybe on top of it. Regardless it needs to be Sea plus, not just Sea. Anyway, here we are...

I have almost sold out

Ive been trying to get the Google ads working, but they seem to have a lot of rules to follow for setting it all up. Maybe in a day or two it will be working.

The new site design is up. I think I still like it. Ive been working on it for awhile and usually by the end of the process I simply can't stand the design anymore. So the fact that, at the moment, Im still pretty comfortable with the design should tell you how much I liked it before I started. If anyone has problems with any part of the site working in your brower, really any trouble at all, please let me know.

Im still hoping to get this week's Illustration Friday submittion finished. Ive been a bit wrapped up with the site redesign and really havent had the time for much else. Maybe now I can, you know, get a job and such. Heres hoping.

Illustration Friday : Flavor

Took me awhile to get to this week's Illustration Friday submittion. The subject was "Flavor" and all I could think of, despite my best efforts, was Flavor Flav. So here we go.



I'm sure the other members of Public Enemy are really glad that Flavor Flav has used his recent public exposure to continue the original message of racial equality. I guess he did bag a white woman, so that's something. I'm fairly certain that within the next year, Flavor Flav will just be walking around in a giant clock, with just a space for his arms and head. Kind of like that character from Beauty and the Beast. Wait for it, it's bound to happen.
